 Born and raised around a sheet metal shop, I always saw metal as a rigid material with specific purposes. I went on to run a HVAC business for 30 years where metal acted as a funtional material. Throughout my tradesman and craftsman work, I always came back to my artistic pursuits and I can now share with you my art! I am currently a BFA student at School of the Art Institute of Chicago where I am constantly exposed to new ideas and materials. I mix metals and glass to form one-of-a-kind jewelry, sculptures and environments that draw people in to inhabit an alternate space or time that is intriguing and comforting. I am inspired by naturally rusting metals, found objects, and light as I create an aesthetic that is both old and new.
